It's no secret that I love thrift store shopping. It's one of my very favorite past times! I love the fact that I can find awesome deals, vintage and new treasures and one-of-a-kind items. It's so exciting walking into a second hand store, wondering what awesome things I'm going to discover. I tend to go about once a week, so I thought I would share whatever goodies I find on here, plus give tips and pointers for getting the most out of your thrifty shopping.
Here's what I found this week.
The Chevron bag ($5.99) and white glass container ($.99) were both from Goodwill and the glass apothecary jars ($5 for big and $4 each for the smaller ones) were from an antique store. I've been looking for a bigger tote bag that I can put a lot of stuff in for when we're heading to the park or the pool and this one is perfect! It's in excellent condition, plus I love the colors/patterns. I'm helping a friend plan her wedding and so I'm on the hunt for glass items I can use in the decor. All of these jars will be used on either the candy buffet or dessert table.
Thrify Tip - If you go out of town, try to check out their second hand stores! Everything in the store will be new to you and if it's a small town, will probably be less expensive than the thrift stores in big cities. I was visiting a friend in Longview, WA when I found the above items. Whenever we visit a new city, I always make a point of making sure I plan thrifting time into our schedule.
