I’m still in wedding mode this week so most of my thrifty efforts are going towards that. I went yard sale-ing over the weekend and here's what I found. It was a SUPER successful trip!
Huge box of picture frames for only .25 cents a piece!! What?! CRAZY! I'm spray painting most of these for the wedding to be used as center pieces and backdrops. So excited about this!
This cake stand was only $2!!! Can you believe that? When I spotted it on a table at a yard sale, I almost knocked an old lady out of the way to get it. Luckily I grabbed it first so things didn't need to get ugly. Nobody stands between me and my vintage cake stands! :)
Four gorgeous pieces of white glass! The two larger pedestal ones were $2.99 from Goodwill, the large bowl was only .50 cents (sweet!) and the small pedestal one was only .10 cents! Seriously? What is going on with these prices? I don't know but I'll take it! This one is my favorite! Again, this was only $2! I almost feel bad taking all this vintage awesomeness for so little (almost.) The lady I bought it from said that it was her grandma's and she used to keep her yarn in it. I'm planning on putting it in my living room for a catch-all.
And look at this pattern? Sigh...I love it. This is one of those total "grandma" pieces that is just so me. Such a great thrify week!
A Little Tipsy – When you’re out yard sale-ing, be sure to stop at EVERY sale! I know it’s tempting to just do a slow drive-by to check things out, but you never know what might be tucked into a box or underneath something on a table. It’s worth the few minutes it takes to hop out of the car and make a quick sweep of the sale, just to make sure you’re not missing a treasure.
